Thomas M. Wright, 64, of Raymond, NH, died unexpectedly, Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Catholic Medical Center of Manchester. Thomas was born in Methuen, MA, a son of the late Sam and Louise (Currier) Wright. He was educated in the Methuen school system, then enlisted in the U.S Army and served in Vietnam from 1969-1971. He enjoyed keeping in touch with his fellow veterans, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed home renovations, working on cars and spending time with his family.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 40 years and best friend, Sharon (Buyck) Wright of Raymond, NH, a daughter and her husband, Carey and Randon Straw, of Londonderry, NH, a son Michael Wright and his longtime girlfriend, Kerri Hamel of Salem, NH, three grandchildren, Felisha Albert, Nicholas and Erika Wright, two brothers, Charles Wright and his girlfriend Kathy Lorenzo of Raymond, NH and James Wright and his wife Ramona of Auburn, NH, five sisters and their husbands, Catherine and Steve Young, of Chester, NH, Theresa Travers of Chester, NH, Ann and David Brasha of Warner, NH, Susan and John McAndrews of Bradford, MA and Dorothy and Robert Tanguay, Jr. of Auburn, NH and his Aunt, Luella Newton of Topsfield, MA, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Wright was predeceased by a daughter, Alisha Wright in June of 1984.
Calling hours were held Monday, January 27, 2014, from 4 to 8 pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday the 28th at 11 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue in Derry, NH and will conclude with burial at the NH State Veterans Cemetery of Boscawen.
