FALL RIVER… Roger A. Hill, 60, of Fall River passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Charlton Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
Born in Providence, RI, he was a son of Irene (Hartley) Hill of Lincoln, RI and the late Elwin Hill. He was raised in Barrington, RI and lived in Swansea for many years before moving to Fall River 7 years ago.
Mr. Hill Enjoyed watching classic western movies, sleeping, working on cars, Jim Beam nips and his cats: Lucky and Snowman.
Along with his mother, survivors include 2 daughters; Brittany Almeida and Ashley Hill, both of Fall River, 2 sons; Adam Almeida and Josh Almeida, both of Fall River, 2 sisters; Ruth Daly of Lincoln, RI and Rachael Hill of New Hampshire, 2 brothers; Ronald Hill of Arizona and Robert Hill of Barrington, RI, 7 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 7 PM at SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River. Memorial visitation will be Saturday from 5 - 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mr. Hill’s family, in care of his daughter; Brittany Almeida, 198 Tecumseh St. Apt. 1, Fall River, MA 02721. Any and all donations will be used to defray the cost of funeral expenses.
