Methuen – Lorraine M. (Chaisson) Peters, 86, of Methuen, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the Holy Family Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Joseph Peters.
Born in Lawrence on September 13, 1927, she was the daughter of Joseph and Bernadette (Perry) Chaisson. Lorraine was a communicant at St. Monica's Church in Methuen. She was also a member of the Rainbow Club. In her free time, Lorraine was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards.
Lorraine will be deeply missed by her 3 daughters, Donna J. Upchurch and her husband, Robert of N. Andover, Sheila G. Hunt and her husband, Kevin of Salem, NH, Lynn M. Tisbert and her husband, William of Pelham, NH; 3 sons, Joseph I. Peters of Salem, NH, Bryan D. Peters and his wife, Nancy of Pelham, NH, and Scott J. Peters and his wife, Nancy of California; 2 sisters, Pauline M. Dalton of Methuen and Delores M. Johnson of Methuen; 13 grandchildren, Tahja, David, Krista, Tifini, Corey, Nicholas, Rebecca, Jessica, Zachary, Rachel, Shaunna, Tyler, and Daphne; 8 great grandchildren, Chace, Ashton, Niyah, Mia, Jax, Bryson, Liyana, and Kahleb; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Lorraine's life by gathering for calling hours at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen on Sunday, January 26, 2014 from 2 - 6 PM. Her Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, January 27th at 11 AM at St. Monica's Church, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover.
