Obituary

WEBSTER – Paul J. “Sparky” Adams, 67, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 43 years, Mary Jane (Caplette) Adams; a son, Kevin P. Adams and his fiancé Nicole Fortin of Webster; a sister, Linda A. Millet of Webster; 2 nephews, Brendan and Colin Millet; a step-granddaughter, Brianna Santoro; and many friends. He also leaves his beloved German Shepherd Keno.
He was born in Webster, son of Ernest and Anna (Pavuk) Adams and lived here all his life. He graduated from Eymard Preparatory Seminary in Hyde Park, NY in 1964.
He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, serving for 4 years.
Mr. Adams first worked as a supervisor at Glass Container Corporation in Dayville, CT. He then owned and operated Sparky’s Gun Shop in Webster until the present.
He was a member of the Webster-Dudley American Legion Post #184, the NRA, the 200 Sportsman’s Club and the Putnam Sportsman’s Club. He was a former member of the Webster Finance Committee. He loved hunting and fishing.
The funeral will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 25, in the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The Webster-Dudley Veterans Council will perform the military honors at the cemetery. Calling hours are from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, January 24, in the funeral home. Donations in his name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
