KNIGHT, Edmund G. of Dedham, suddenly January 21, 2014. Beloved husband of Catherine “Kay” (Hanlon) Knight for 50 years. Devoted father of James E. Knight and his wife Joanne of Natick, Joseph F. Knight and his wife Susan of Dedham, Susan M. Sarto and her husband Alan of Franklin, Kathleen M. Chace and her husband Paul, Michael P. Knight and his wife Linda, Maureen A. Belanger and her husband Brian, and Eileen A. Gordon and her husband Steven all of Mansfield. Brother of Francis Knight and his wife Janet of Dedham. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Edmund was a retired foreman for N.E. Telephone Co. Korean War Veteran, U.S. Coast Guard. Member of the Dedham K of C, Dedham Retired Men’s Club, the Readville and Dedham Bowling League and Past President of Dedham Little League.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Saturday, January 25 at 10 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary Church, Dedham at 11 am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Friday, January 24 from 2-8 pm. Interment Private.
