Hopper, Catherine Faye (Hinson), 77, of Louisville went to be with the Lord Monday, January 20, 2014.
She was a graduate of Kentucky Baptist School of Nursing. She was a retired Registered Nurse of 44 years and a member of Shively Christian Church where she served as a greeter and on the Missions Committee. Faye dearly loved The Lord and serving Him. She was known as a powerful prayer warrior and a hugger. Faye was an avid U of L fan and she loved watching her Cards play!
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marion of 51 years.
She is survived by 3 children, Marcia Hopper-Sanders, Julie Stephens (Tim), Steve Hopper (Connie), step-son, Michael Hopper; 9 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren a loving sister and best friend Maurine Scarlott, many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Max. As much as Faye dearly loved her family she loved The Lord most and is at home with Him.
The family would like to sincerely thank the Norton Hosparus Inpatient unit for their compassionate loving care.
Her services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 11:00 – 8:00 pm and after 9:00 am Saturday before the funeral.
