Michael P. Degenhardt, 53, of Brockton, formerly of Raynham, died unexpectedly on Tuesday January 21st surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Cynthia (Perrault) Degenhardt of Brockton.
Mike was born in Rutland, VT raised in Raynham son of Alfons and Ursula (Mueller) Degenhardt of North Carolina. He was a graduate of Bristol Plymouth Regional Tech High School, Class of 1978.
He served his country in the United States Army from 1979-1982.
Mike has been a Brockton resident for several years and owned the MPD landscaping business for many years. He was printer for the NECI printing company in Canton for 17 years, also worked at the shoe department at Marshalls in Revere more recently.
Mike loved spending time with his children and also enjoyed skiing, biking, tennis and the outdoors.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his three sons Austin M. of Revere, Garrett and Matthew both of Brockton, his step-daughters Stephanie Perrault of Brockton, Jessica Nichols-LaRosa of Randolph, his sisters Christine Degenhardt and Margaret and her husband Chris all of North Carolina, grandfather of Tyler and Joshua Clark and his close nephew Gregorie of Florida. He was also the father of the late Joshua M. Degenhardt
His funeral service will be held on Saturday January 25th at 10:30AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 @ the rotary circle) Whitman. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on Monday January 27th at 9:30AM. Visitation will be on Friday January 24th from 6:00-8:00PM
