Arthur Freitas, age 78, of Somerset passed away on January 18, 2014. He was the husband of the late Joan M. (Beaulieu) Freitas and son of the late Joseph and Lucy Freitas. Prior to becoming a vending manager for Daka International Inc. and Servomation he worked at Globe Mfg. and Davis Screen. Arthur was also a Veteran of the U.S. Army, enjoyed golf, bowling, crossword and suduko puzzles, bocce and cribbage.
He is survived my his 3 daughters: Donna L. Freitas (companion Rick Costa) of Assonet, MA; Colleen M. Moore (husband Christopher) and Cheryl A. Freitas-Pulliam (husband Roger) both of Roanoke VA, 3 grandchildren: Alexandra L. Bock, Nathaniel and Mikaela Moore; beloved friend Claire LaFond and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Joseph and Thomas Freitas.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on FRIDAY at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Thomas More Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Fall River. Calling hours on THURSDAY from 4-8 P.M.
