SPENCER; Joseph E. Frigon, 88, died Saturday, January 18 in Mary Lane Hospital, Ware.
He leaves his wife of 58 years, Marjorie E. (Snelling), two daughters; Cheryl A. Kristant and her husband John of Shrewsbury, Jane E. Ostiguy and her husband George of Spencer, two sisters; Ruth Pulchtopek and Mabel Pulchtopek and her husband Stanley all of Ware, three grandchildren; Christopher, JT and Elaine Kristant.
He was pre-deceased by five brothers; Albert, Henry, Paul, Donat “Bobby”, Delano “Del” Frigon, and five sisters; Blanch Johnson, Evelyn Salvatore, Irene Higgins, Doris Cournoyer and Theresa Frigon.
Born in Spencer, he was the son of Charles Francis & Sadie (Terroy) Frigon.
Joseph worked for 36 years at the Waste Water Treatment Plant in Spencer, retiring in 1989.
He was a member of the East Brookfield Baptist Church and was a volunteer fire fighter in Spencer for 20 years.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, January 23 at 11 AM in the East Brookfield Baptist Church, Rte 9, E. Brookfield. Calling hours are Wednesday from 5-7 PM in the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer.
Burial will take place at a later date in Podunk Cemetery, E. Brookfield.
