Virginia M. Fuccillo, 90, of Manchester, NH, died Sunday, January 19, 2014 in Mapleleaf Healthcare in Manchester. She was born in Tennessee on August 17, 1923, a daughter of the late William and Louise (Coffey) Matthews. She loved playing Bingo, doing crossword puzzles, and crocheting. Virginia enjoyed browsing at flea markets and antique shops especially for other people. She always looked to find a piece to complete someone's collection or to find their favorite "goody", and in doing so, she received great joy and satisfaction. Virginia was the devoted wife of the late Pasquale Carmen Fuccillo.
She is survived by two sons, Donald Fuccillo of Lowell, MA, and David Fuccillo of Windham, NH; six grandchildren, David A. Fuccillo, Joseph A. Fuccillo, Michael P. Palladino, Kristina M. Fuccillo, John Fuccillo and his wife Stacey Fuccillo, and Melissa M. (Fuccillo) Hanlon; one great granddaughter, Addyson Margaret Fuccillo; her sister, Mildred L. Silvers of Titusville, FL; and her brother, William Matthews, Jr. and his wife Kitty of Lantana, FL; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six sisters, Catherine Louise (Steve) Subriar, Martha Deane (Carlos) Carlile, Jacqueline (Joseph) Harrach, Harley Jean Matthews, Joan Grace (Fawzi) Abu-El-Haj, and Joyce Lynn (George) Emehiser, and one brother, Robert James Matthews.
Calling hours were held on Thursday January 23, 2014, from 5 - 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. Funeral services was held on Friday, at 10:00am in the funeral home. The burial followed in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden, MA.
