Obituary

Stanley L. Rosenburgh of Natick died on Friday, January 17, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was eighty-six years old.

Born in Wellesley, Massachusetts on February 25, 1927, he was the son of the late Richard Edison Rosenburgh & Louise C. (Sehnert) Rosenburgh.

He was raised in Natick, attended Natick Schools and enlisted in the United States Navy before graduating high school to serve our country proudly during World War II as a Sea Bee.

Stanley worked on his Uncle Gene’s farm for many years and then as an engineer with Raytheon for many years and later at Caldor’s. He loved to tinker with all electronics especially radios and was a jack-of-all-trades. He was a ham radio and Citizens Band (CB) operator with a call sign of “The Cobra Kid”.

He was an avid sportsman, and enjoyed golfing, fishing, outdoor recreation vehicles, all sports, especially his beloved Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.

He loved gardening and was given the name “gentleman farmer” by his nephew because he always gave away everything he grew.

Stanley was the devoted husband of the late Rose M. (Polucci) Rosenburgh with whom they shared thirty-eight years of marriage. He was the loving father of Valerie Howard of Hulls Cove, Maine.

Grandfather of Amber Marie Howard and Lesley Anne Mahaney & her husband Basil. Brother of Franklin Rosenburgh & his late wife Geri of Mississippi & the late Durwood & Richard Rosenburgh.

Caring Uncle of Christopher James Darcy & his wife Ann Marie of Natick, Louis Brossi & his wife Gina of Shrewsbury, Mary Ann Billard & her husband Charles of Sandwich, and Diane Robinson & her husband Timothy of Natick.

Brother-in-law of Emma E. Brossi & her husband Dante of Mashpee. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces & great nephews.

Stanley’s Funeral Service will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common on Friday, January 24th at 11:00AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited.

Visiting hours Thursday from 4:00-7:00PM. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley with Military Honors.
