Konstantinos Kollias, 80, of Greece died Saturday, January 18th in his daughter’s home. His wife of 42 years, Adamantia (Gatsios) Kollias died in 2000. He leaves a daughter, Eleni and her husband, Gus Giannakis of Worcester; two brothers, Panagiotis Kollias and his wife, Litsa and Ioannis Kollias and his wife, Angela; a sister, Ekaterini Kalamaras all of Greece; two granddaughters, Ekaterini and Adamantia Giannakis and many nieces and nephews in Greece.
He was born in Athikia, Korinthias, Greece the son of Spyridon and Eleni (Karounis) Kollias. Konstantinos worked for the City of Korinthos for many years as a bus driver and served in the Greek Military.
His funeral is Wednesday, January 22nd in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street, Worcester with a service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street, Worcester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
