Obituary

GLOCK, Henry C., of Winthrop, passed away at the East Point Nursing Home in Chelsea on January 18, 2014. He was 93. He was the beloved husband of the late Ruth L. (McNevin) Glock. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late John H. and Harriet (Wilson) Glock. Devoted father of Robert W. Glock and Cindy L. Glock both of Winthrop. Dear brother of the late Flossy Law. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours were held at the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St. WINTHROP, on Tues. January 21, only between 5-7pm. Cremation was private. Henry served in the U. S. Coast Guard during WWII and later served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, he was meat cutter and had worked for Somerville Dress and Beef Co. and also for New York Beef Co. He also enjoyed lobster fishing where he owned several lobster traps.
