Obituary

Judith E. Guerard, 78, of Woonsocket passed peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2014.
Judith “Judy” was born one of six children to the late Mario and Mildred (Avery) Palanzi on May 17, 1935 in Milford MA. She married in 1955 to the late Henry “Hank” Guerard of Woonsocket, and it was there that they would share their days together. Judy spent her final years at The Village at Waterman Lake until her last year when she was relocated to the Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Center, where she was adored by staff and residents alike.
She worked for twenty five years for Tupperware in North Smithfield, where she prided herself in perfect attendance. During her lifetime, her biggest thrills were yelling “Bingo!”, and welcoming and laughing with her friends and family. She was notorious for matching her accessories to her outfits with ease.
Judy is survived by her daughters; Sandra Hebert of Naples, FL, and Michelle Selman of Cumberland, her son Peter Guerard of Woonsocket, six loving grandchildren, three sisters; Pauline “Polly” Duncan of Kingston,MA, Ruth Turner of Jacksonville, FL, and Mae Desilets of Woonsocket, and one brother, Carl Palanzi of St. Mary’s GA. She was also the mother of the late David Guerard, and sister of the late Richard Palanzi.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday morning 9AM – 11AM in the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 So. Main St, Woonsocket. A service will be held in the funeral home at 11AM. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham.
The family wishes to thank Gentiva Hospice, and the staff and residents of The Village at Waterman Lake, and Woonsocket Health Center for their kindness and caring attention.
