Obituary

Frank R. Wilson, 92, of Charlton died Saturday, January 18th in Southbridge Rehabilitation Center. He leaves his wife of 60 years, Florence B. (Lauzier) Harris-Wilson; two sons, Ralph W. Harris of Charlton and Roger D. Harris of Oxford; two daughters, Jean M. Harris of Charlton and Barbara A. Gingras of Worcester; 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, one great- great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Robert F. Harris; four brothers, William, Harry and Richard, Walter and two sisters, Ruth and Evelyn.
Mr. Wilson was born in Boston the son of William and Anna (Olson) Wilson and graduated from the former High School of Commerce in Worcester. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps serving his country during World War II. Frank was a civil engineer working for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts before retiring. Mr. Wilson had also been a firefighter for the Charlton Fire Department for seventeen years retiring as assistant chief. He was a member at All Saints Church, Charlton American Legion Post 391 and the Charlton Senior Citizens Center. Frank enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles and spending time exercising.
His funeral is Wednesday, January 22nd with a service at 10:00 a.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street, Worcester. Calling hours are Tuesday, January 21st from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Charlton Fire Fighters Association, P. O.
