LITTLE, James L. of Winthrop, January 10, 2014. Beloved life partner of William D. Kerr. Cherished son of the late Hazen L. and Nellie V. (Beadle) Little. Dear brother of Carolyn V. Clemens and Robert E. Little and his wife Nancy all of Winthrop. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service was held on January 16, 2014, at 10am, in the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St. WINTHROP. Cremation after the service was private. James currently served as Chairman for the Winthrop Board of Health. He was appointed to the Massachusetts State Board of Nursing during Governor Dukakis term in office and then again during Governors Weld’s term in office. He was presently employed as a nurse at the V.A. Hospital in Boston. An avid yachtsman, he enjoyed many days on the water with Bill and their late dog Angie. James was also a member of N.A.R.F.E., which is a rapid federal emergency response team relating to medical crises. He was also a member of the AARP and was an American Heart Ass.
