Ruth Ann (Smith) Allen, 82, passed away January 15, 2014 at Clark Memorial Hospital. She had worked for Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital as a nurse’s aide, she is a member of the Order of Eastern Chapter #273. She was preceded in death by her husband Evan Allen, and brother, Ned L Smith. She is survived by daughters, Mary D. Sego, Barbara S. Gaddie (Jack), Sharon J. Green (Kent), Donna L. Hallmark and Anita M. McBride (Steve); son Evan E. Allen (Arlene); 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; brother, James E. Smith (Helen); sister-in-law, Carol Smith. Funeral services will be at 1 P.M. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens (West). Visitation will Sunday at 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
