LEICESTER; Pauline C. (Maheux) Joseph 81 of 1090 Stafford St. Rochdale, died Wednesday, Jan. 15 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester surrounded by her loving family.
She was the wife of Donald G. Joseph who died in 1996. She leaves a son John A. Joseph and his wife Joanie of Jacksonville, Fl., three daughters Deborah M. Antanavica and her husband Richard of Leicester, Linda A. McShera and her husband Joseph of Rochdale, and Cheryl L. Sawyer and her husband Maurice of Athol, a brother Roger Maheux and his wife Pauline II of Enfield, Ct., 11 grandchildren; Kevin, Nicholas, Joshua, Jason, Marc, Keely, Justin, Kendra, Eric, Michael and Mary, 8 great grandchildren; Casey, Carlee, Connor, Allison, Cullen, Adam, Sophia and Talon, several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughter Barbara J. Joseph in 2009 and her brother Paul Maheux in 2011. Pauline and her late husband were co owners of Little Bo-Peep Day Care Center in Cherry Valley. Along with their daughter Linda, they ran the day care center for 36 years, before retiring in 1999.
Born in Lewiston, Me., she was the daughter of Arthur J. and Graziella (Cote) Maheux, was raised in Maine and graduated from So. Portland High School, and later moved to Mass. She was a member of the Leicester Lions Club. Her family would like to thank everyone who touched her life and made it great!
The funeral will be held on Saturday, Jan. 18 from the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Funeral Mass at 10 am. in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Leicester. Calling hours will be held Friday, Jan. 17 from 4 to 7p.m. in the funeral home.
