Sue Ann Aliberti, 59 of New York City, NY, formerly of Andover, MA, beloved wife of the late John Aliberti and mother of Jessica Aliberti Merrick and Melissa Aliberti Maglio, died on Wednesday, January 15th, 2014.
She was born in Cedar Rapids, IA, raised in Cedar Rapids, IA, Raleigh, NC and Norwood, MA and then moved to Merced, CA when John and Sue were married. Sue is the daughter of Donald Schroeder and the late Harriet Jones Schroeder. Sue was a graduate of Norwood High School, class of 1972. She then went on to get her Dental Assistance License.
Sue was devoted to her family. Her favorite pastime was to walk her Doberman, Dozer, in Central Park (NYC). She loved to spend time with her daughters and her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling with her family and in 2007 spent two weeks traveling throughout Italy with Jess and Melissa. When Jess and Melissa were young, Sue was the room mother and team mother for their multiple sports.
Sue is survived by daughters Jessica Aliberti Merrick of New York, NY and Melissa Aliberti Maglio of Andover, MA, grandchildren Jack Merrick, Lily Merrick, Ty Maglio, Hunter Merrick and Sienna Maglio, father Donald Schroeder and sister Deborah Schroeder Singer. She also leaves behind many other close family members and friends and her much loved dog, Dozer.
Calling hours were held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Sunday, January 19th, 2014, from 2 to 4 PM.
