Theresa Lynn Barnes Thomas, 52, of Tifton died Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2014, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Rickey Wells will officiate with burial to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. Her cousins and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 17, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Thomas was born on September 12, 1961 in Tifton and was the daughter of James Barnes and Joyce Ethridge Barnes, both deceased. She was a homemaker and also worked as a waitress.
Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband, Robert Thomas of Tifton; one son, Jacob Purvis of Omega; two sisters, Wendy Barnes of Tifton and Hollie Barnes of Tifton; an aunt, Elaine Barnes Lindsey; an uncle, Wayne Ethridge and wife Nancy; a niece, Brittany Hurst; a nephew, Sabastian Eason; and a great-nephew, Jayce Hurst.
