Mary Antoinette “Anne” Fuller Roberts, 76, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, January 12, 2014, at her residence.
Memorial services will be held 3 P.M., Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Dr. Mike Ruffin and the Rev. Kyle Walker officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. until the service hour.
Mrs. Roberts was born December 17, 1937, in Fulton County, Georgia, to the late Dr. Hilton Monroe Fuller, Sr. and Viola Singleton Fuller. She was a graduate of the first graduating class of the Westminister Schools in Atlanta, Georgia. She attended Auburn University and was a member of Chi Omega sorority. Auburn is where she met her husband L.T, and they were married in 1956, at Morningside Baptist Church in Atlanta. They were married for 57 years. She had been a resident of Fitzgerald since 1969. She was a former employee of the National Bank of Fitzgerald as a Master Card service account representative, and a paraprofessional for the Fitzgerald school system. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Fitzgerald for over 20 years and was a former Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by her husband: Llewellyn Talmadge “L.T.” Roberts of Fitzgerald; a son: Patrick Monroe & Judith Roberts of Athens, Alabama and two daughters: Caren R. and Kent Walker of Columbus, Mississippi and Cindy R. & Jim Miller of Edgefield, South Carolina; grandchildren: Wells Miller, Rebecca Miller, Michelle Birt, Rev. Kyle Walker, Clark Walker, Matthew Roberts and Christopher Roberts; three great-grandchildren and a brother: the Honorable Hilton Monroe Fuller, Jr. and Peggy of Atlanta, Georgia. A special thank you for the wonderful service of caregivers: Jacinta Wise, Mary King, Cynthia McCray and Elaine Lane and the Hospice Staff. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a half-sister: Frances Fuller Sharpe.
