WORCESTER-Kalimorfi (Dovras) Karcasinas, 62 of 21 May Street died Tuesday, March 19th at home after a long battle with cancer. She leaves her husband of 39 years, Stephanos Karcasinas; 2 daughters, Alexandra Vorres and Elena Economou both of Worcester; her mother, Nitsa (Ballos) Dovras of of Athens, Greece; 2 brothers, Panagiotis Dovras of Worcester and John Dovras of Athens, Greece; 5 grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
She was born in Epirus, Greece daughter of Michael Dovras and came to Worcester in 1962. Mrs. Karcasinas was a seamstress for Nikki’s Bridal Shop in Framingham for 3 years. She previously worked as a seamstress at Cottage Tailor for 15 years and also at E’Laurelle in the Bridal Department. She was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, its Lady’s Philoptochos Society, and Mother’s Guild.
The funeral will be Thursday, March 21st from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, with a service at 10:00 AM in St. Spyridon Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 20th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
