Robert Milton “Bob” Parrish, Sr., 68, of Tifton died Sunday, January 12, 2014, at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Rev. John O’Connor will officiate with burial to follow. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Tiftarea Tea Party Patriots. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Parrish was born on August 6, 1945 in Tifton and was the son of Albert James “Sam” Parrish and Mildred Clifton Parrish, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by one brother, James A. “Jimmy” Parrish. He graduated from Tift County High School and earned degrees from Albany Junior College, Moultrie Technical College and the University of Georgia. He worked in real estate for several years and assisted in taking surveys for the U. S. Department of Agriculture. He was a member of Ty Ty Methodist Church and the Tiftarea Tea Party Patriots. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Parrish is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Milton and Nikki Parrish of Tifton; one daughter, Gina Hill of Tifton; and seven grandchildren, Logan, Landon, Anna and Emily Parrish and Noah, Seth and Sarah Grace Hill.
