Obituary

HOLDEN – Alice J. (Standrowicz) Pakulski, 86, formerly of Dudley, died Saturday, January 11, 2014 at home surrounded by her family after a period of declining health. Her husband of 60 years, Francis E. Pakulski, died in 2010.
She leaves a daughter, Lois A. Johansen and her husband Eric of Holden; a son, Alan Pakulski of Holland; 3 grandchildren, Leslie Pakulski of Rindge, NH, Clayton and Bennett Johansen, both of Holden; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert and Raymond Standrowicz.
She was born in Dudley, the daughter of Lawrence and Helen (Moskal) Standrowicz and lived there until moving to Holden in 2006. She graduated from Bartlett High School in Webster in 1945.
Mrs. Pakulski was an accounting clerk at the American Optical Company in Southbridge for 37 years. She then worked in the checking account department at the Webster First Federal Credit Union for 7 years, retiring in 1991.
She was a member of Saint Andrew Bobola Church and a former member of the St. Joseph Polish Women’s Club of St. Joseph Basilica in Webster. She belonged to the American Optical Quarter Century Club.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, January 15, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main S., Dudley. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. Calling hours will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 14, in the funeral home.
