Roger A. Guillemette, 79, of Manchester, died October 11, 2004, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Manchester, June 13, 1925, he was a son of Armand and Yvonne (Richard) Guillemette. He attended Manchester Central High School and served in the US Navy from 1942-1946. He graduated from Plymouth State Teacher’s College in 1950, and in 1952 earned a master’s degree in education from Boston University.
Mr. Guillemette was employed by the City of Manchester as an educator for 35 years. He retired in 1985 after serving many years as principal of Weston Elementary School.
He was a career long member of the Manchester Education Association, the New Hampshire Education Association, and the National Education Association.
He was an avid amateur radio operator.
Family members include his wife of 53 years, Patricia M. (Felker) Guillemette of Manchester; three children, Larry T. Guillemette of East Greenwich, R.I., Jane A. Paquin,and James A. Guillemette, both of Hooksett; ten grandchildren; a brother, Richard Guillemette of Florida; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Normand Guillemette.
A memorial reception was held Thursday October 14, 2004 at the Puritan Conference Center, Hooksett Rd., Manchester.

Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester, assisted the family with arrangements.
