Genevieve Maxine Goacher, 93, of Alexandria died on January 11, 2014 at Community Northview after an extended illness.
She was born on July 1, 1920 in Daleville to Willis and Jane (Barrett) Hartzell.
She was a homemaker who loved to cook and spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling a lot during her husband's racing career.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Peggy J. (Frank) Brown of Alexandria and Dixie D. Roach of Indianapolis; 6 grandchildren; Several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul Goacher; 5 brothers, Paul Hartzell, James Hartzell, John Hartzell, Clinton Hartzell and Willis Hartzell.
The funeral service will be on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 2:00pm with Ned Clark officiating. The burial will take place in Vinson Cemetery in Summitville.
The visitation will be from 1:00-2:00pm on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at the funeral home.
