Coach William Craig Tyre, age 63, of Douglas, GA passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, FL following an extended illness. Mr. Tyre was born on November 4, 1950, in Savannah, GA.
Survivors include: his wife, Lyle Tyre of Douglas, GA, two daughters, Emily Tyre Carver (Jamie McDaniel) and Sissy Tyre (Ted) Watson, five grandchildren, brother, Don (Chris) Tyre, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ed Ayers officiating. With a reception to follow after service at the church.
Memorials maybe made to the Coffee High Football & Wrestling Athletic Dept., Atkinson County Football & Wrestling Athletic Dept., and the First Presbyterian Church of Douglas, GA.
