Obituary

CHICOPEE – Lillian D. (Sicotte) Fioramanti, 88, a longtime resident of the Willimansett Heights section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. She passed into Eternal Life at Willimansett West in Chicopee surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family and her wonderful caregivers. She was born in Edmonton, Province of Alberta, Canada on April 18, 1925, a beloved daughter of the late Silva and Bertha (Hamelin) Sicotte. She came with her family to South Holyoke around 1938 and later moved to the Willimansett section of Chicopee. She moved to the Willimansett Heights section of Chicopee around 1958 and lived there for the remainder of her life. She graduated from Chicopee High School and received the title of “Miss Willimansett” in 1942. She was a beautician and the owner for many years of the Sempre Bella Beauty Salon in Chicopee. She was a longtime member of the Board of Directors of the Willimansett Heights Hall. Active in her faith, she was a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, Albert J. Fioramanti who was Called Home on June 9, 1992. Besides her parents and her husband, she was also predeceased by her dear brother and sister, Roland Sicotte and Rita Dumas. She leaves her two loving children, Diane L. Davis of Amherst and Gary A. Fioramanti of Maiden, NC; her two cherished grandsons, Marc Laurin of Amherst and Angelo Fioramanti of Maiden, NC; her 12 cherished great-grandchildren; her five cherished great-great grandchildren; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins and extended members of the Fioramanti and Sicotte families. Her funeral will be held on Monday morning, January 13, 2014 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 8 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will follow the Mass at Saint Michael Cemetery, 1601 State Street, Springfield, MA 01109. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 12, 2014 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
