Obituary

Jacqueline Marie Gill Anderson, 71, daughter of Mae Sheehan Gill (deceased), both of Methuen, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 5, 2014, after a very long and courageous battle with cancer.

Jackie graduated from St. Mary's High School in Lawrence and later received her RN from Northern Essex Community College. She had a long and satisfying career in nursing, retiring in 2003.

Jackie is survived by her beloved children, of who she was very proud; son Jay Savinelli, of Methuen, and daughter Gabrielle Salisbury Bernardini (Steven) of Londonderry, New Hampshire. She was a passionately devoted grandmother to grandsons Dylan and Sammy Bernardini. She is survived also by aunts Barbara Sheehan Waterhouse of Hampton, New Hampshire; Eleanor Sheehan of Salem, New Hampshire; and many cousins and friends, including cousins Elaine Syddall Clancy of South Berwick, Maine; Mya Hay Bannard, of Miami, Fl.

She lived to spend every possible second with her grandsons, and spent most of her time in educational and fun activities (Disneyworld) and lots of sleep-overs, which she adored. One way she demonstrated her limitless love was by attending each and every sporting event, rain or shine, sick or well.

As anyone who met her could attest, she had a sparkle in her eye and a zest for living to the fullest. She had exceptional charm, intelligence and wit. She was always interested in trying new things, easily mastering them. She was also an exceptional artist and cook and loved making meals and special treats for family, friends and neighbors.
