WESTON: Daisey V. (Saunders) Danner, age 94, a former longtime resident of Watertown and Somerville, died Saturday, October 9, 2004 at Epoch Senior Health Care of Weston.
She was the widow of Ralph Danner who died in 1978.
Born in Huntington, West Virginia on September 12, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Sadie (Black) Saunders.
Mrs. Danner was raised in Huntington, West Virginia. She attended Huntington schools and graduated from Huntington West Virginia High School.
In 1937, she moved to the Brighton section of Boston.
She later moved to Somerville, where she lived for more than 20 years and attended the Somerville Congregational Church.
In 1958, Mrs. Danner moved to Watertown and attended the Watertown Congregational Church. In 2000, she became a resident of Epoch Senior Health Care of Weston.
In her earlier years she enjoyed attending church functions and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Somerville.
She is survived by 1 son; Richard H. Danner of Tewksbury; also 2 sisters, 9 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Danner was the mother of the late Ralph D. Danner.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 12th from 7-9 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, to be followed by a prayer service at the funeral home officiated by Rev. David Mangun. Cremation at Linwood Crematory, Haverhill.
