Obituary

Daniel R. Lizotte, Jr., 67, of St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of Woburn and Freedom, NH, passed away suddenly, Dec. 30, 2013. Born in Winchester, he was the son of the late Daniel R. Sr. and Marie (DeTeso) Lizotte. Mr. Lizotte was raised in Wakefield, attended Wakefield High School, and graduated with the class of 1964. He owned Danny’s Auto Body in Woburn for many years, where he forged many friendships. As a resident of St. Petersburg for the last 15 years, Danny was self-employed and owned a landscaping business. Mr. Lizotte, who served in the U.S. Army Reserve, was an avid outdoorsman. In his spare time he could be found snow skiing, downhill ski racing, water skiing, boating, freshwater fishing, and riding his motorcycle. He remained a die-hard Patriots fan, no matter where he lived, and is remembered for his fun nature, his laugh, and knack for telling a great joke. Mr. Lizotte is survived by his sister, Eileen Morris and her husband Richard of Woburn. He was the uncle of Erin Morris O’Brien and her husband Jon of Billerica and Damon Morris and his wife Sheila of Winchester, and is further survived by 4 great-nephews; Matthew, Sean and Jonathan O’Brien, Denis Morris, aunts, cousins and many longtime friends. Relatives and friends are welcome to gather at the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester on Sat. Jan. 18 at 9AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester, at 11AM. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Danny’s memory may be made to the Woburn Council of Social Concern 2 Merrimac St. Woburn, MA 01801.
