Pauline J. (Michaud) Francis 68 of Beverly, died unexpectedly Sunday, January 5, 2014 at the Beverly Hospital. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Francis, Sr., with whom she had shared 42 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Lionel and Cecile ( DeVoe) Michaud. She and Bob married in 1965 and she devoted her early years of marriage to raising her family. Over the years, Pauline also worked part time for several coffee shops including the Donut Cove of Salem and Daily Bagel of Beverly.
A giving and loving woman, she was always there for her large extended family. Her hobby was crocheting for family and friends. She will be greatly missed by many.
She is survived by two sons, Robert J. Francis, Jr. and his wife Marie of Salem & Michael R. Francis of Beverly, a daughter, Laurie A. Francis of Beverly, three brothers, Ronald Michaud and his wife Jackie of Salem, Paul Michaud of New Hampshire, Jean ‘Mitch’ Michaud of Peabody, three sisters, Jeannette Duchesne of Lynn, Lucienne ‘Lou’ Flynn of Florida and Claire Michaud of Salem, as well as a grandson, Michael J. Francis and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt 114 / 1-A] Salem on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 8:45 A.M. to be followed by her funeral mass in St. James Church, 156 Federal St., Salem at 10:00 A.M. Visiting hours, at the funeral home, are on Wednesday 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
