CLINTON, John Thomas, 96, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014 at the Masonic Home in Shelbyville, KY.
He was retired from LG&E and an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Church, St. Vincent DePaul Society and formerly of the Knights of Columbus. He was also active in Dare to Care.
Mr. Clinton was preceded in death by his wife, Iveta (Hill) Clinton; and life-long friend, John “Pete” Brown.
He is survived by his children, John E. Clinton, George T. Clinton (Dorothy), Charlotte Dunbar (Richard), Karen Johnston (William), Kevin Clinton (Diane), and Rita Williams (Alan); 15 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
The family wishes to express its sincere gratitude to the staff at the Masonic Home for their excellent care of Mr. Clinton.
His service will be 11am Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial in Lebanon National Cemetery. Visitation will be 11am-8pm Thursday at the funeral home.
