Hilda A. Higgason “Memaw” Ray, 85, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, Sunday January 5, 2014.
She was born November 24, 1928 in Wehrheim, Germany, and was a retired Manager for the AAFES at Fort Knox, KY., with 30 years service.
She was preceded in death by a Son: Robert Higgason III; a Daughter: Audrey D. Allen and a Sister: Gisela.
She is survived by a Daughter: Linda G. Nuckles (Tom), 8 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, 4 Nieces, 2 Nephews and many many friends.
Hilda was a kind, unique individual that never failed to leave an impression on anyone who met her. She will be remembered forever by her Family & Friends.
Funeral Services will be held 7:00 PM Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with cremation to follow. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be Thursday 3 – 7 PM at the funeral home.
