Obituary

King, John Patrick “Red”, 70, of Louisville passed away Saturday January 4, 2014 surrounded by those he cherished most. He was a giving man who put others before himself, loved unconditionally and believed in living life to the fullest.

Red is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Leona (Doll) and a infant son, John David.

Red had retired from the old Yellow Freight Trucking Company/ Teamsters Local # 189 and was a member of Derby City Brown Backers, Marydale Club, Moose Lodge and had volunteer at Franciscan Kitchen.

Survivors include his three children, Paula J. Ohlmann (Tony), Patricia l. King and Stephen M. King; his two grandsons, Noah P. & Nicholas A. Ohlmann; two sisters, Mary Sadler & Linda Gripp; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday at the Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday.
