Lorraine A. Blanchard 67, of Garden St. died Sunday at the Philip Hulitar Center. She was the wife of Lucien “Bucky” Blanchard. Born in Woonsocket, she is the daughter of Alma (Cartier) Boisseau and the late David Boisseau. Lorraine worked for the transportation department of Seven Hills, she was the van driver for nineteen years before retiring in 2012 due to illness. She was a member of the Bellingham Senior Center. Lorraine was a very humble and generous person.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Mark David Blanchard and Raymond Armand Blanchard both of Bellingham, two sisters, Denise Bourget and Pauline Lalonde both of Woonsocket, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting Hours are Wednesday 5-8 PM.
