Obituary

formerly of Lexington and Ft. Myers, Florida, Ottavio A. “Nick” DiBenedetto, 89, peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014 in his daughter’s home in Danvers. He was the husband of the late Angelina (Cudelessi) DiBenedetto.
Born in Boston on February 12, 1924, he was the son of the late Natale and Annie (Damiano) DiBenedetto. Nick was raised and educated in Brighton and graduated from Brighton High School. He served our country with the United States Army during WWII and was honorably discharged. Nick resided in Danvers for many years before moving to Lexington. He was the proprietor of a Dunkin Donuts Shop in Lexington and Bedford. Nick was able to retire at the early age of 55 and moved to Ft. Myers, Florida with his wife Angie. For the past few years he has resided with his daughter in Danvers. He enjoyed going to the Senior Center in Danvers on Thursdays, where he met many new friends and rekindled his passion for dancing.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Barbara and James Pszenny of Danvers, a son James DiBenedetto and his companion Toni Elam of Danvers, a grandson Jaime Pszenny also of Danvers and his companion Catherine Trepinski of Ft. Myers. He was predeceased by a son Michael DiBenedetto
His Funeral Services are private. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Friends of Danvers Council on Aging, 25 Stone St., Danvers, MA. 01923.
