Janet L. Erickson, 62, of Worcester formerly of Gardner and Princeton died Monday, December 30th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus after a long illness. She leaves her longtime companion, James E. McNamara with whom she lived; three sons, Leif W. Erickson of Gorham, ME, Michael K. Erickson of Cranston, RI and Mark C. Erickson of Worcester; her mother, Ruth (Shultz) Berg of Gardner and a brother, Steven Berg of Spencer.
She was born in Gardner the daughter of Stanley Berg and graduated from Narragansett High School. Ms. Erickson also attended the former North Adams State and the former Massachusetts Communication College. Janet worked for H.W. Erickson Oil Company and also worked as a clerk at Newbury Comics for many years. She enjoyed all types of wildlife, music and trips to the ocean.
A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, January 7th from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service to follow at 12:30 PM. Burial will be private.
