Obituary


Robert J. Hinglebine, 88 years, of Brockton, died Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Good Samaritan Medical Center after a period of failing health. Bob was the devoted husband of Madeleine (Beliveau) Hinglebine. Born, raised and educated in Brockton, he was the son of the late Harold L. and Emma (Bousquet) Hinglebine, Sr. Bob was a veteran of World War II and served in the Navy, as a Seaman First Class, stationed in Pensicola, FL. Following the war he was employed for 15 years by Century Manufacturing as a presser and was then employed as a Clerk by the Brockton Post Office for 24 years retiring in 1988. Bob enjoyed bowling and had been a former member of the City Candlepin and Merchant Leagues. He was a longtime communicant and volunteer of Sacred Heart Church and also enjoyed spending time with friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Herbert Hinglebine, Evelyn Stoufflet, Harold L. Hinglebine, Jr. and Phyllis Dearth.

Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Sunday from 2-5pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Monday at 8:30 am for a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, West Bridgewater at 9:30am followed by burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 11:30 am.
