Harley H. Kelley
Aug. 1, 1925 to Dec. 31, 2013

Harley H. Kelley, 88, of Anderson died at Countryside Manor December 31, 2013 after an extended illness.

He was born August 1, 1925 in Sweetwater, Texas to Avery Dale and Rose (Dear) Kelley.

He retired from Baystone Construction. He also worked for Acme Paving and he was a school bus driver for the Anderson Community Schools.

He loved his family, loved his roses, loved family dinners and loved having parties during the holidays. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren; and great grandchildren's ballgames.

Survivors include his daughter, Debbie Stephens of Anderson; grandson, Joshua (Ashley) Stephens of Pendleton; great grandchildren, Kaley Retherford and Ian Stephens; two brothers, Wayne (Nola) Kelley of Port Richey, FL; Jack Kelley of Nashville, TN; sister, Geraldine Hendricks of Wabash, IN; sisters-in-law: Bonnie Boyd; Lula Culley and Diane Hensley all of Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Frances (Harney) Kelley whom he married March 1, 1950 died August 24, 1995; son-in-law, Neal Stephens; brothers Clinton, Thomas, Harold Kelley and Donald Boyd and Walt Raines; sisters: Imogene Hartman, Bonnie Learned; Rozella Rhoades; Ruby Kelley and Oline Kelley.

Due to the weather that is expected, the funeral service for Mr. Kelley has been changed from Monday to Wednesday. The times will be the same, with the funeral at 1 PM Wednesday and the calling from 11-1 PM prior to the service.*****

Service will be 1:00 P.M. Wed, January 8, 2014 Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Tom Wiles of Fall Creek Christian Church officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the service Wednesday. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
