Robert Johnson, 66, of Mystic passed away at L&M Hospital on New Years Day. Bob was born on July 4th 1947 at Westerly Hospital to his parents Leslie and Ann Johnson. He attended Stonington schools and for 36 years of his life worked for what is now known as Aquarian Water Company until reaching retirement.
Bob was an avid NASCAR fan among other types of car racing. He liked to bowl on a league every Friday night during the fall/winter months and loved being outdoors whether it was hiking to waterfalls around New Hampshire, boating and swimming or his favorite, enjoying live blues music with his wife and daughter.
Predeceased by his parents and brother David Johnson, Bob is survived by his wife Sue Johnson, daughter “squeak”, Jennifer Johnson of Mystic and son Steven Johnson of Shelton, as well as his sister in law Joy Johnson of Mystic and several nieces and nephews.
His family will receive friends and family Tuesday January 7th from 3-5pm at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street in Mystic, with a celebration of life to follow at Spare Time (Holiday Bowl) Groton.
