Adored grandfather of Erin and Lonnie and dear great-grandfather of 3. Brother of Raymond Davis and his wife Doris. Fond uncle of many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews. Brother-in-law to Francis Burke, Robert Burke and his wife Grace, and Carol Burke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St. Winthrop, on Sat. Jan. 4, at 11:30am. Please go directly to church. Interment will be in Winthrop Cemetery (Belle Isle Section). Remembrances in Walter’s name can be made to Habitat Plus attn. Susan Campbell, 516 Essex St. Lynn, MA, 01902. Walter served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. during WWII, with a rank of 1st Lt. He was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
