Marilyn A. (Maynard) Hughel, 81, of Anderson died Dec. 30, 2013 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born August 4, 1932 in Anderson to Wilfred E. & Thelma (Brown) Maynard.
She graduated from Anderson High School in 1950, married Harry "Bill" Hughel March 18, 1952 and was a loving wife and homemaker.
She was an active church member at Chesterfield Christian Church; a member of the board of United Faith Housing; active in the Victoria Guild, Order of the Eastern Star and Job's Daughters. She was affiliated with Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and liked to travel, enjoyed reading and her grandchildren.
She is survived by one son and two daughters: Joel Hughel of Anderson, Jill (Mark) Wylam of Minnesota; Jenny (Brian) Deeds of Anderson; six grandchildren: Michelle Frederick; Hayley Hughel; Mike Wylam; Nick Wylam; Hilary Hughel; Leila Hughel-Deeds; and one great grandchild, Lexis Frederick.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harry Hughel in 2009 and son Jeffrey W. Hughel in November 2013.
Service will be 11 A. M. on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Ned Clark officiating. Visitation will be Friday, January 3, from 4-7 P.M. Burial in Bronnenberg Cemetery.
