Steven Ernest Taft, 34, of Tifton died Monday, December 30, 2013, at Cook Medical Center in Adel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2014, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Glenn Ford will officiate with burial to be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2014, in the Andersonville National Cemetery in Andersonville. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 3, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Taft was born on December 25, 1979 in Glens Falls, New York and was the son of Greg Taft of Warner Robins and Mary Beth Lyford of Tifton. He received his Associate Degree from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and was the manager of the Waffle House in Adel. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Taft is survived by his wife, Tanya Lynn Patton Taft of Tifton; two sons, Bruce Wayne Patton and Bradlyn Wayne Honeycutt of Tifton; one daughter, Rebecca Dawn Patton of Tifton; and two sisters, Elizabeth Snyder of Brookfield and Jennifer Tripp of Las Vegas, Nevada.
