Leonard, John D. 76, of Marshfield, Formerly of Canton, December 28, 2013 surrounded by his loving family and best friends Allan and Linda Widberg. Beloved husband of the late Dianne F (Taylor) Leonard. Loving father of Maryellen Rodrigues and her husband Fidelio of Scituate, John D. Leonard, Jr. and his wife Mary of Pembroke, Stephen Leonard and his wife Amy of Marshfield, Christopher Leonard and his wife Kathleen of Marshfield. Dear grandfather of Devin and Derek Rodrigues, Matthew, Kyle, Maggie, Alanna, Magnus, Mason, Shane and Kendyl Leonard. Brother of Thomas Leonard of Maine, George Leonard of Foxboro and Robert Leonard of Kingston. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
John was born in Quincy, lived in Canton and was a summer resident of Marshfield from 1972 until 1997 when he and Dianne became year round residents. John was a graduate of Archbishop Williams High School, class of 1955 and he attended Bentley College. He was a self-employed Computer Consultant. John loved the Beach, playing Golf and being surrounded by his grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be on Friday January 3, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Marshfield MA.
Funeral from the funeral home on Saturday January 4, at 9:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St Ann by the Sea Church 591 Ocean St., Marshfield at 10:00 am.
Interment will be in the Couch Cemetery, Marshfield.
