Obituary

Brian E. Duckless, 57, of Manchester, NH, died December 29, 2013 at Elliot Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Newport, VT on September 16, 1956 to Harold and Lucille (Godin) Duckless. He grew up in Newport Center, VT and lived in Manchester for most of his life.
He graduated from North Country Union High School in Newport, VT in 1974 and from New Hampshire College, now Southern NH University, in 1978.
Brian worked as the NH Territory Manager for Mohawk Industries for many years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 2155 in Newport and the Friday night bowling league at Stadium 10 Pin in Manchester.
He will always be a devoted son, brother, husband, father and “Papa”. He was an avid bowler who also enjoyed boating and playing poker. In his younger days, he was a drummer in a country Western band. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his infectious smile and for being gentle, kind, loving and supportive.
The family includes his wife of 35 years, Gail A. (Poulin) Duckless of Manchester; three children, Jeffrey Duckless and his wife, Kimberly, Jason Duckless and Jonathan Duckless all of Manchester; two grandchildren, Colin and Caleb Duckless; his parents of Newport Center, VT; a sister, Darlene Duckless of Newport, VT; his parents in law, Edward and Lovy Poulin of Manchester; a sister in law, Susan Champagne of Franklin; a brother in law, Kenneth Poulin of Manchester; nephews, Cody, J.J. and Scott and nieces, Amy and Beth; and a godchild, Emily.
A funeral ceremony was held on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester, NH.
In lieu of flowers, a college fund for Brian’s grandchildren has been established. Donations may be made to the Brian Duckless Donation Fund, c/o St. Mary's Bank, 48 Perimeter Rd., Manchester, NH 03103.
