Kevin B. Forrest, 64, of Mystic passed away on December 27, 2013 at L&M Hospital. He was born September 5, 1949 in Daytona, Florida to Anne Mae Forrest and Stan Hoarty. Kevin attended Stonington High School and shortly after graduating joined the U.S.Army. He served in the Vietnam conflict from 1968 to 1970. On May 26, 2004 he married Lori Christian Forrest.
Kevin had a strong passion for music and enjoyed playing his guitar as well as his harmonica. He played in several bands throughout the years. Kevin was also a lifetime member of the Mystic V.F.W. post 3263 and a long time member of the Social Society Frohsinn also in Mystic. Kevin worked at and retired from the Aquarion Water Company after 34 years on the job .
Kevin is survived by his beloved wife Lori, his daughter Heather Delaporta and son-in-law Scott of Mystic, son Sean Forrest of Jewett City, sister Lynn Hoarty of Ft Lauderdale Fla. and three grandchildren.
His family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00pm at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic, with full military honors presented at 2:45pm. Burial will be private.
