Worcester – George M. Lavallee, 76, of Worcester, died on Friday, December 27th in Saint Vincent Hospital.
Mr. Lavallee was married for 51 years to Jo Ann (Cormier) Lavallee who died in 2009. He is survived by a son, Stephan Lavallee; a daughter, Melissa Lavallee and a sister Rita Goodrau, all of Worcester. George also leaves behind, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
He was born in Worcester, son of the late Clement and Leodiana (Gangne) Lavallee. George is also predeceased by 2 daughters, Deborah Lavallee and Patricia Gagel as well as a brother, Henry Lavallee.
Mr. Lavallee served in the National Guard and worked as a machinist for many years at both Smith Valve Company and Montrose Wire Company. He enjoyed many things, however, a couple of his favorite things were playing cards and watching old western movies.
After cremation, family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, January 3rd from 5 to 6:30PM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a prayer service at 6:30. Mr. Lavallee will be buried in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
