Michael B. Lawrence, 60, of New Bedford died Thursday December 26, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of Francine G. (Yergeau) Lawrence.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Edward and Lillian (Adams) Lawrence, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Mr. Lawrence was formerly employed by the City of New Bedford Wastewater Department until his retirement.
He served in the Massachusetts National Guard for 32 years.
He is survived by his wife, Francine; his children, Sarah-Lynn and Marc Edward Lawrence, both of New Bedford; his siblings, Paul and Lynn Lawrence, both of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday January 4, 2014 at 9 AM at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
