Obituary

Thomas J. Deighan, 93, of Homestead Avenue, Johnston, died Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the husband of the late Marie E. (Butler) Deighan. They had been married for 55 Years.

He had lived in Johnston for 55 years. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII and the Korean War. Mr. Deighan was a Clerk with the US Postal Service and retired from the “Turn Key” in 1983.

He is survived by his daughter, Maureen Payette and her husband, David Jordan of Johnston, his grandchildren: Jennifer Payne & Greg Payette and three great grandchildren.

His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:30am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. A Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence, RI 02909. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visitation Tuesday 8:30am – 9:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Thomas Church.
